Maya Gumina

Project Impact Leader | 8th Grade Student
Maya
is an 8th-grade student who is excited to be part of launching a Project Impact chapter in the Sacramento area. She loves working with preschool-age children and spends her summer breaks helping in the classroom, where her natural leadership and enthusiasm shine through. A go-getter with big dreams, Maya has her heart set on studying business and using her skills to make a difference in the world. Maya had the privilege of being inspired by a strong businesswoman whose example showed her that when women lead with courage and compassion, they inspire girls to dream boldly and believe in their own potential. That experience deepened her commitment to service, leadership, and empowering others. Beyond the classroom, Maya is a dedicated coxswain for Capital Crew, where she thrives on teamwork, discipline, and communication. When she’s not busy with school or rowing, she can usually be found in the ocean swimming, snorkeling, and soaking up her love for the water. Maya brings curiosity, drive, and heart to everything she does, embodying the spirit of Project Impact: to lead with purpose, service, and joy.
