At St Bakhita Innovation Foundation, we believe that when young leaders step up, the world changes. This year, our student-led initiative is taking that mission to the pavement with the Race for a Reason: 5K Community Run. We aren’t just running for the finish line; we are running to bridge the gap between our local community and the children of Kalongo, Uganda.
Why
Our goal is to raise $10,000, with every single cent (100% of proceeds!) going directly to the Early Childhood Development Center in Kalongo. In partnership with the St. Bakhita Innovation Foundation, these funds provide the building blocks of a better future:
- Essential Supplies: Books, art supplies, and hands-on learning tools.
- Quality Education: Competitive teacher salaries to retain the best educators for these children.
- A Healthy Start: Nutritious meals and a safe, nurturing environment during the most critical developmental years.
